Resilience Racing featured in Latitude 38 Magazine

In 2015, Resilience Racing was featured in Latitude 38 magazine's article titled "New Beginnings for Old Wooden Boats." The piece highlighted our restoration of historic Farallone Clipper class boats, paralleling the journey of cancer survivorship.

Resilience Racing was founded to support cancer survivors in their recovery, offering an experience in teamwork and competitive sailing. Research shows that outdoor sports and adventure activities promote recovery and improve physical and mental wellness for cancer survivors. Competitive sailing, part of our program, is an effective tool for those who have undergone traumatic experiences.

Just as restoring old wooden boats requires care, dedication, and resilience, so too does the journey of cancer recovery. Each plank and sail represents strength and perseverance, mirroring the survivors' path to healing.

While there are many charitable sailing programs worldwide for groups such as veterans with PTSD, Resilience Racing is the first to focus specifically on cancer survivors. Our 501(c)(3) charitable organization is dedicated to making a profound impact on their lives through the power of competitive sailing.

Our Journey Continues!
